Hi!
I’m Amy Lanterman, a self-taught artist based in Tucson, Arizona. My artistic journey began in my early years in Denver, Colorado, where I found inspiration in my mother—an accomplished artist in her own right. Over the years, my work has been featured in galleries across Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and even as far as Turks & Caicos.
I love to experiment with various mediums and techniques, often drawing from the natural world for inspiration. My work incorporates a mix of classic painting techniques and unconventional materials like deconstructed wasp nests, rocks, shells, and wood—each piece infused with vibrant colors and rich textures.
With a playful approach to texture, composition, and color, I create art that reflects my own joy and invites others to share in it. Nothing brings me greater satisfaction than knowing my work sparks happiness, smiles, and a sense of connection.
I call my distinctive style “Contemporary Folk Fusion”—a lively blend of tradition and innovation, deeply rooted in the beauty of nature and human expression.
