My Technique, Where Chaos Meets Intuition:

When I start a new piece, especially with acrylics, it usually begins in abstraction. I’m not planning every detail from the get-go. Instead, I lean into the physical process: throwing paint, splashing water, watching colors swirl and collide. It’s active, a little unpredictable, and honestly, a lot of fun.

There’s something deeply satisfying about letting the paint do its thing before I try to control it. I don’t force an image or idea right away. Instead, I let the canvas breathe and evolve, and somewhere in all that motion and color, something begins to emerge.

That’s where the real dialogue begins, between chaos and clarity, texture and shape. I start to see possibilities, hints of subjects, or an emotion that wants to take form. From there, it becomes a conversation between the abstract and the intentional.

This process keeps me connected to spontaneity while still allowing room for structure. It’s loose, it’s layered, and it keeps me curious every time I step into the studio. Because for me, technique isn’t just about how you paint, it’s about how you listen to what the painting wants to become.
